Cristiano Ronaldo to make Juventus debut vs. Chievo Verona

CRISTIANO RONALDO will make his debut for Juventus today and fans are predicting they'll see a hat-trick from the Portuguese ace.

The Old Lady face Chievo as they look to defend the title for the eighth time and Massimiliano Allegri broke the news yesterday that their star signing makes his starting eleven. "Ronaldo will make his official debut for Juve on Saturday". He said

He's already bagged a goal in the club shirt, but that was behind closed doors and against the club's U23 side .

And now fans are itching to see both Ronaldo and fellow newbie Emre Can in action.
In a series of tweets on the club's account, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri seemed equally as excited about watching their £99m arrival play in a Juve shirt.

He said: "Cristiano is no ordinary footballer, his career statistics are testament to that.
Allegri seems as excited as fans to see their new signing in action

"He brings added value to our team, but we must not rest on our laurels and believe that we'll win games just because we have him on our side.
"On paper, we're the strongest team in Serie A, but that's not enough.

"We have to show a burning desire to go the extra mile every single day in order to get our rewards."
His new signing is certainly living up to this mantra, as Ronaldo's team-mates have called him a machine for the the way he trains.

Ronaldo is reportedly warming up before everyone arrives for training and continues a solo session long after the Juve team leave for the day.
The ex-Real Madrid player may have delivered Juventus a devastating blow last season when he knocked them out of the Champions League.
But this year the club are aiming to return to their former European glory.

Allegri added: "You can't call this the 'year of the Champions League'  unless we reach the final like we did in 2015 and 2017.

"In order to get there, we must keep working every day to take our game to the next level. Our first goal is to progress in the group stage ."

The club certainly hope the boost of four-time Champions League winner will fire them to glory.
