Europa League: Three Things we Learned From Arsenal's 3-0 win Over Qarabag

Arsenal continued their winning run in all competitions, and registered their eighth consecutive victory following their 3-0 win over Qarabag in the Europa League. The hosts had most of the chances in the 90 minutes, but it was the Gunners who made their opportunities count to pick up the win.

Here are three things we learned from Arsenal's 3-0 win over Qarabag.

3. Qarabag's chances

Qarabag created a number of chances throughout the game but a combination of poor finishing and great saves from Bernd Leno denied them a goal. While Arsenal opened the scoring, it was Qarabag who were the more threatening going forward and will certainly rue the number of chances they wasted in the game.

2. Arsenal's defence

Arsenal may have won eight games in a row but their defence is still suspect. They gave away a lot of chances and were only helped by the fact that Qarabag did not have the quality to take them. They started with three at the back in the first half and then switched to a traditional back-four, but neither formation proved much use in dealing with the opposition's attacks.

1. Arsenal's winning run

The 3-0 win over Qarabag makes it eight wins in  row for Arsenal, and the last time they achieved that was back in March 2015. With Fulham on Sunday, the Gunners will be hoping to keep the run going and make it nine before they go into the international break. It remains to be seen how long they can keep the run going.
