Kogi State Governor Reacts After NCDC Reported First COVID-19 Case In The State
The internet was filled with lots of amusement and confusion after the NCDC reported the first case of COVID-19 in Kogi state last night.

The NCDC reported a total of 389 cases out of which Lagos had 256 cases and Kogi state for the first time since the pandemic started in Nigeria recorded two cases.

The state governor Yahaya Bello reacted to the report from NCDC and classified the reported case as fake and an effort to disrupt the efforts taken by the government of Kogi state to protect the lives of her people amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.

The health commissioner who spoke on behalf of the governor disclosed that the state have being running hundreds of test for COVID-19 and the returned back negative. He went on to say that the state will vehemently reject any fictious COVID-19 Case that would be imposed on the state by the NCDC.

The health commissioner however encouraged the residents of the state to keep maintaining good hygiene and follow all the laid down precautions to avoid the virus.
