Throwback to the Time Cristiano Ronaldo's Incredible Jump Was Studied by Scientists



Portugal and Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo is widely hailed as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, with the striker winning numerous professional and personal honours, including five Ballon d'Or awards.

The 35-year-old is known for his dedication to fitness and possess arguably the best leap or jump in football as seen by the goals he has scored by towering over astonished defenders, both in the past and currently.

Such was his leap that scientists at the University of Chichester conducted a series of biomechanic tests on the superstar, which was captured in an in-depth documentary called - Cristiano Ronaldo: Tested to the Limit.

The tests indicated that Ronaldo is able to jump higher than an average NBA player, with the 35-year-old able to generate 5G of G-force on take-off and helped by a thigh circumference of 62cm. The tests also showed that he can reach heights of 44 cm from a standing start and 78 cm when he has a run-up - 7cm more than the average basketballer.

Despite being 35, Ronaldo shows no signs of slowing down with the striker even stating in the past that he wants to play football till the age of 40, and it will be interesting to see how his future pans out.
