COVID-19: Ondo IDH Runs out of Bed space
Following the increasing cases of COVID-19 in Ondo state, the state infectious disease hospital, Akure can no longer accommodate new patients.
It was gathered by VERYCONCERN that there is no vacant bed space at the hospital and this was caused by a surge in the cases of the disease in the state.
COVID-19 patients are now being transfered to Ikare where they are being treated.
Ondo state has recorded 234 cases since the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic.
It currently has 120 active cases while 67 persons have been discharged.
Just yesterday, the state recorded 44 cases, the highest in a day.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had blamed the daily increase of the pandemic on nonchalant attitudes of some residents.
He added that adequate measures would be put in place to check the excesses.
