Soldier, Policeman Murdered In New Boko Haram Video
Two Nigerian security officers have been gunned down by a breakaway faction of Boko Haram terrorists.
It’s not clear when the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) killed the security personnel – a soldier and a police officer.
A video released by the terrorist organisation captures the final moments of the officers – Inspector Yohanah James and Lance Corporal Emmanuel Oscar – before they were shot in the forehead.
In the widely shared 49 seconds video, the two security personnel say their names, their ranks and where they were abducted.
According to the slain officers, they were on a trip from Maiduguri to Monguno when they were ambushed and abducted by the terrorists whom they described as “Tilafa army”.
Shortly after they say their words, the video shows two armed men pointing AK47 rifles at the two personnel kneeling with their faces blindfolded with a red coth.
Shots are fired simultaneously and the two security personnel slump and blood is seen.
