Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks Juventus 60 years old Record

Portugal and Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo is widely considered as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, with the striker winning numerous professional and individual honours, including five Ballon d'Or awards.

Ronaldo holds a number of records to his name and now the 35-year-old broke another one as he became the first player for Juventus in 60 years to score 25 goals in a single Serie A season following his strike against Torino during their 4-1 win in the league on Saturday.

The striker matched the efforts of club legend Omar Sivori who scored exactly 25 goals in 1960-61 to help the Bianconeri win the Scudetto that season, although he was pipped to the top scorer title by Sampdoria's, Sergio Brighenti.

That it has taken 60 years to match Sivori's haul comes as a surprise considering that legendary figures like Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio and Michel Platini, have all played for the Bianconeri but have fallen short.

Ronaldo has now netted 57 goals in 81 appearances in all competitions so far for the Bianconeri and he will be expected to add more to his tally and lead the club to their first Champions League title since 1996.
