Edo Police Arrest 28 Suspects, Including Two Teenagers for Cult-related Activities
Edo State Police Command has paraded twenty eight suspects arrested for various crime offences across the state.
Among the suspects paraded by the state Police Commissioner are two teenagers, age thirteen and fourteen who were arrested for alleged cult-related activities.
The state Police Commissioner CP Johnson Kokumo, briefing newsmen on the arrest at the command headquarters in Benin - CIty, he said operatives of the command in collaboration with members of vigilante group gunned down two armed robbers and arrested one with gun wounds early hours of this morning in Amagba community while trying to dispossessed residents of their belonging at gun point.
While the police boss assured members of the public that all suspects arrested will be charged to court for prosecution, two suspected teenagers who were paraded among the suspects bare their minds on their level of involvement during interview with newsmen, expressed regret for their actions.
Meanwhile, the police boss used the opportunity to warn armed robbers, cultists, kidnappers to desist from crime or relocate to another state.
Items recovered from the suspects were arms ammunition, phones, charms, among others.
