Oyo Police Commissioner Reads Riot Acts to Cultists
The Commissioner of Police Oyo State Command, CP Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu has read riot act to members of Aiye Confraternity and Buccaneers ahead of their planned celebration in Oyo state.

Enwonwu in a statement issued and signed in Ibadan by the Public Relations Officers to the Command, Gbenga Fadeyi stated that the command got information on plans by the cult groups to disrupt public peace through their anniversary.

The statement added that the Command has put in place adequate security measures to forestall any unlawful Assembly and breakdown of law and order as well as loss of life associated with such unauthorized activities.

The command stressed that concerted efforts have been put in place to respond adequately to any security threats from any of these unlawful secret cult groups who are bent on disturbing the peace.

It enjoined all and sundry to go about their lawful businesses as the Police would not give any breathing space to unscrupulous elements to create chaos or breach of peace in any part of the State.

The Command further appeal to  individual or groups as well as parents to warn their children and wards who are bent on causing mayhem on the 7/7/2020 and 8/8/2020 to desist from such planned  acts or change their ways and refrain from testing the will and capacity of the Police and other security agencies in Oyo State.
