Two Die in Delta Polytechnic Community Road Accident
One commercial motorcycle operator and a passenger lost their lives in the early hours of today as an SUV hit them from behind, along the lonely Delta state polytechnic road at Otefe.
The driver of the SUV who came out unhurt was said to be on a high speed and lost control of his vehicle before ramming it on the motorcycle.
Soldiers on routine patrol saved the driver from angry mob as they whisked him away, while the lifeless body of the late female passenger is still lying along the expressway as the motorcycle operator was rushed to the hospital where he gave up the ghost.
Cases of accident have been reported on a weekly basis as a result of overspeeding, while residents are calling on the council chairman Hon. Golley to ensure speed breakers are constructed along the highway before schools resumption.
