Two Policemen, Vigilante Drown in Oyo
Two Officers of the Oyo State Police Command and a vigilante were drowned in a carnal in Oyo town when carrying out a raid of criminal hideout.
The Command Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi who confirmed the incident to Correspondent kunle ojo in ibadan stated that four suspects have been arrested by the police on the incident.
Our Correspondent learnt that the policemen, attached to Atiba Police Division, trailed some hoodlums to the area when the thugs started running towards the bridge.
Eyewitness account has it that one of the hoodlums reportedly jumped into the water while the policemen jumped after him during which the officers drowned.
The source revealed that the officers trailed the hoodlums from Balogun street in Oyo town to the area where the incident occurred.
It was gathered that the suspect later escaped but the officers were not lucky as they were drowned in the carnal.
