Derby County Boss Frank Lampard Left "Shell-Shocked" after Knocking Manchester United out
Derby County manager Frank Lampard was in disbelief after his side knocked Manchester United out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

The Championship side won 8-7 on penalties after the game had ended 2-2 after 90 minutes of engaging football.

Lampard's fearless side converted all of their spot kicks in front of the home support in the Stretford End, and the former Chelsea midfielder could not be any prouder of his side.

"I'm a bit shell shocked [but] in a good way," said Lampard, as quoted by ESPN.

"What a performance from the team and in terms of personality. To have the personality to step up and take penalties and perform the way they did, I'm just a proud manager, they were great."

"I am trying to build a group to be successful and nights like this are incredible. To go against world-class players and play that way, it's right up there."

The former England international fielded his strongest XI at Old Trafford and got ultimately rewarded for his dedication.

"It was the easiest selection I've had. They played so well against Brentford and I knew how much they all wanted to play. I wanted to come here and win," Lampard told reporters after picking up the biggest win so far in his budding managerial career.
