BENUE POLICE RESCUED KIDNAPPED BUSINESSMAN ARREST FIVE SUSPECTS
Benue State Police Command has confirmed the rescue of Chief Isaac Akinkumi, a businessman who was kidnapped from at residence in Kanshio, Makurdi last week Thursday by unknown gunmen.

The police also confirmed the arrest of five suspects linked to his abduction, after a team of investigators were deployed to rescue the captive from their hideout.

The State Police Commissioner, Garba Mukkadas, who condemn the acts, assured members of his family, friends that the perpetrators will be brought to book, while urging members who have useful information to avail the police for ease of investigation and safety of the state.

The police commissioner said this in a statement issued by the Police Image maker, DSP Catherine Anene, that the rescued businessman, Chief Isaac Akinkwumi, owner of popular eatry in Makurdi called "Tito gate" has since reunited with his family at about one o clock today afternoon.

According to the statement, DSP Anene, said the five (5) suspects were arrested in connection with the case, one (1) locally made pistol loaded with six (6) rounds of ammunition were recovered from them.

She however said Investigation is still in progress
