Four Hotel Staff of Ex-Minister Stripped Naked Over Alleged Theft in Delta.
Four staff of a popular hotel belonging to a former minister at Effurun in Uvwie local government area of Delta state were stripped naked over alleged stealing of cash ranging from five thousand to one hundred and twenty six thousand naira.
The victims which include three females and a male were stripped to their pants by the hotel management and security, with the girls forced to remove their bras for cameras.
The victims who were detained for three days at the Ebrumede police station in Effurun, were later arraigned at the Udu magistrate court where they were granted bail on liberal terms.
The ex-minister who had last month briefed the media on his intention to run for the Governorship seat come 2023, has not come out with a statement on the issue as his media aide has also not responded when our correspondent put a call across to him.
Meanwhile, a lawyer and rights activist Comrade Omems Ogedegbe who took up the case, promised to get to the root of the matter and blamed the former minister for keeping quiet , days after his staff were humiliated.
