268 Stranded Nigerians Arrived Abuja Airport From China
According to VERYCONCERN, The Fededal Government of Nigeria has evacuated 268 Nigerian citizens that are stranded in China, the Stranded Nigerians arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport today May 30, 2020 via local carrier flight Air Peace.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria which has led to the Lockdowns and the ban on international flight, several Nigerian citizens has been stranded in foreign countries.

The Nigerian citizens that were stranded in China were evacuated after showing interest in coming back and liaising with the Nigeria mission and embassy in China.
The citizens were received in Abuja by the a team from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the Ministry of Health, Foreign affairs Ministry and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), the evacuated Nigerians will be subjected to the mandatory 14 days quarantine in a yet to be disclosed isolation Center in Abuja, although the evacuated Nigerians were tested for coronavirus before boarding the flight back home, they will also be subjected to the test for a second time before allow them join the society.

The President Muhammadu Buhari administration has made several effort in evacuating over 7000 stranded Nigerian citizens from over 300 countries around the world, notably are those from the United States of America, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and now China, although several others has been evacuated from neighbouring African countries using the land boarders.
Nigerian citizens that are stranded abroad and are willing to come back home has been advised to contact the Nigeria foreign mission in their country of residence for possible evacuation.
