The Police in Kano State has again rescued another man of 35-year-old imprisoned by parent for 15 years in Sheka, Unguwar Fulani of Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state.

Kano state correspondent King Richard reports that this is coming three days after a  30 year old man was rescued by police in the state after being locked up in a motor garage by his father and stepmother.

The victim was rescued by the Police Medical Team and Operatives of Operation Puff Adder.

Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Kiyawa says the victim, Ibrahim Lawan has been moved to the hospital for medical attention and investigation launched into the matter.

But Ibrahim, who was 20 at the time of his detention, was alleged to have become mentally unstable.

These days in Kano and some northern states of Nigeria there has been a surge in these criminal acts where parents locked up their children for a number of years without considering the consequences.

Last week in the Mariri area of Kano metropolis a 30-year-old Man was rescued after his father locked him for seven years.

Another ten-year-old boy was also rescued in Kebbi state when his father acting in connivance with his stepmother tied the boy to where animals are being reared.

He was tied to one of the places where animals eat and drink.

Non-governmental organizations and human rights activists have since condemned the dastardly acts been perpetrated by some parents in the Northern part of Nigeria.

In the mid-year 2019, a house was discovered in Daura of Katsina state where over sixty people were locked up all for the purpose of remolding their behaviors.
